6. Moorish Arquitecture

The gradual annexation of Islamic land to the Crown led to the mixing of the Hispano and Christian art forms, creating exceptional hybrid in Cuéllar during the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. The villa houses one of the most important sets of Mudejar churches of Spain (San Andres, San Martin, El Salvador, Santiago and San Esteban), who with his famous fortress are of inexcusable visit. In Coca, the Fonseca up the artillery castle most evolved in Europe at the time, and one of the finest Renaissance pantheons of Castile in which worked the Fancelli and Bartolomé Ordóñez artists. Moreover the route is complemented with the Dominican monastery of Santa María la Real de Nieva and other examples of Mudejar Romanesque that are placed close as Samboal and Nieva.
