Segovia, surrounded by a green belt along the course of the Eresma and Clamores rivers, hides one of the most important wall enclosures in Spain. The ancient city, built on a rock hill, after being reconquered by Alfonso VI, it reinforces the security of the population with a wall of more than 3 km in perimeter and an average height of almost 10 meters. This defensive construction evolves with the city and over the centuries some strong houses are attached to it, such as the House of the Chains, where Beatriz de Bobadilla and Andrés Cabrera, characters close to Queen Isabella the Catholic lived. Three of its five gates are preserved: St.Andrés, St. Cebrián and Santiago. In the latter, you can visit the Francisco Peralta puppet collection. And if you want to know what happened to the other two remaining gates: St. Juan and St. Martín …we will tell you.
